Fort William Events Calendar

As the Outdoor Capital of the UK, but also a thriving community hub and centre of Highland culture, our Fort William events calendar is far from complete. Nevertheless here are a few of the highlights to watch our for during the year, with 2017 dates where we have them.

Fort William Mountain Festival

15th to 19th February

A comprehensive programme of lectures and films to celebrate the diversity of mountain culture.

Loch Shiel Festival

20th to 23rd April

Leading artists from all over Britain team up to perform classical music amidst beautiful Western Highlands scenery.

Highland Haggis Festival

1st and 2nd April

Now in its second year, Spean Bridge hosts the only festival celebrating Scotland’s national dish.

Scottish Six Days Trial

1st to 6th May

“Unarguably the greatest motorcycle trial in the world”

Wild Lochaber Festival

A week of nature-related activities to celebrate the stunning natural beauty of Lochaber.

UCI Mountain Bike World Cup (Nevis Range)

3rd to 4th June

The world’s leading mountain bike series arrives, with the world’s leading mountain bikers in tow.

Arisaig Highland Games

26th July

Fort William Marathon

One of the most scenic marathons around takes runners beneath the slopes of Ben Nevis, through the Leanachan Forest and along the Caledonian Canal.

Loch Ness Film Festival

28th and 29th July

An independent grassroots festival featuring shorts, features and documentaries.
